Video: Queen Latifah ft. Missy Elliot "Fast Car"

Okay a few things. First, we love Queen Latifah, we love her voice and we see promise in her singing career. I actually like this song, but not as a follow up single on her seventh studio album. She needs like the hottest single on the airwaves. "Fast Car" may have been produced by Cool and Dre, but look what they did for Christina Milian's career; or should I say to her career. The video however is fly, and features cameos from Jadakiss, Angie Martinez, and Robin Thicke and wife Paula Patton. We do wish she would put her own wifey in the video. I love the concept and she throws in almost the whole Queen Latifah story. And the most important thing is that the piece gives us a piece of her many Persona(s).

Jennifer Hudson is on the current cover of Billboard Magazine. She is still getting the Beyonce questions, but let's the magazine see that she is versatile. And she knows many other people who not only sing, but have full time acting careers as well.

She was quoted as saying this about being a double threat.:

"I remember doing ‘Dreamgirls,”‘ “I would look at Beyonce, because she was doing acting and singing, and I’m like, ‘How the hell can she do that?’ Now I’m looking at it like, ‘Oh, God, all right, if she can do it, if Jamie and Queen can do it, then it means it can be done."

Personally, I understand the Cover Girl's stance on this matter. She is just tired of people stalking her family members instead of focusing on what ACTUALLY comes out her mouth. I mean I blog, but I always try to leave extremely touchy topics out of the way. I am sure she is tired of people trying to figure out her sexual orientation. Here is an expert from her interview with ContactMusic.com:

“They are actually starting to p**s me off. I haven’t been brutalized like some people… but you feel taken advantage of.

She continues, “I’m tired of hearing from my family members, `Did you say this?’ When somebody calls my family, that’s what concerns me. I have little brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews who are not so media savvy as me. They are not so thick skinned with this business, so these reports bother them. That’s when I really want to go for somebody’s throat, legally with lawyers and all. And I will.’
