Video: Ashanti & Ja Rule "Always On Time" & "Down Ass Chick"

I forgot to post this performance from last week's VH1 Hip Hop honors Def Jam, of Ms. Ashanti and Ja Rule. For two people with cold ass hell careers, they did their thing. Ashanti actually sounded good live, and she tried not to dance to much which was a huge plus. And J, I mean his part isn't to hard. All in all it was one of their best together; too bad neither can catch a break.

I love Ashanti and I think she has a good shot at a comeback. But, I really stopped feeling Ja Rule when he tried to be a thug again after he turned pop; not just pop REALLY POP! He was the go to guy when an R&B singer needed a hit; nobody big time rapper ever needed him on a song. How will he survive out in the game in this day and age. He has a lot of people to impress and make like him; how can he compete with someone like Weezy?

Anyways, enough ranting; they performed for old times sake at ABC's "Good Morning America", on June 6th. Her album was released on June 3rd; you better go get it!

Talk about recycled. Lil' Mo (I actually do like her, but the following still does apply) and LL Cool J reused that "I Cry, You Cry, We Cry" idea - straight jacked it. Ja Rule needs to ask for some royalties. Plus, LL needs to stop macking and start acting like the father of 5 that he is. But the song is decent...maybe you will enjoy it!

Hey Ja Rule, you homophobe, your right MTV does need to censor 'gays' on their stations...one like this Camel-in-the-face-jealous of Mase-Dipset don't even wanna f*ck with him anymore...Cameron. You did say that if we censored rap, that you would have to censor everything that corrupts our kids, right.

Cameron, there's no way out of this one. You may get away with all the pastels you rock, because this new wave of metrosexuals that's coming over the 16-20-something age range...but this is unexplainable.
