New Music: Cameron ft. *MASE* & B. Rossi "Get It"

Is this a dream? For most Harlem heads this is a reason to pay attention. Cameron has teamed up with Mase, yes, you heard that right, Pastor Mase, for a track. It's mediocre at best to me; but I think it's still worth a listen. Side Note, why is B. Rossi totally jacking Weezy's flow? DL link below!

Cameron Getting His Freak On?

Now, I can't even tell ya'll what I'm thinking about this:

Okay, I will. Hey Ja Rule, you homophobe, your right MTV does need to censor 'gays' on their stations...one like this Camel-in-the-face-jealous of Mase-Dipset don't even wanna f*ck with him anymore...Cameron. You did say that if we censored rap, that you would have to censor everything that corrupts our kids, right.

Cameron, there's no way out of this one. You may get away with all the pastels you rock, because this new wave of metrosexuals that's coming over the 16-20-something age range...but this is unexplainable. I know why your eye twinkles like that; it's not just the drugs. You gotta sweet tooth! Silly fool, tricks are for kids.

Cameron, You Idiot!

The next time you question why; every time you hit up a mall you get looked at; or if you drive a nice car and you get stopped; and you wonder where they get the nerve profiling you; blame people like Cameron.

Not only did the rapper interview with 60 minutes; he admittedly said that he promotes things such as the code of silence aka the "Don't Snitch" motif, in his music because that sells. He added that music labels would "never" tell him to stop talking about violence and money because they, as well as him, know its profitable.

Stop SnitchingStop Snitching

What pissed me off is that the Guy went on there and pretty much said that Hip Hop promotes all these negative images; and must continue to do so to profit. I personally thought Hip Hop was fundamentally about the struggles people; expressed through Rhythm And Poetry.

The real issue is the community's distrust with the Law; due to harassment and racial profiling. If a little boy gets stopped by the cops; then he hears 50 cent being called a snitch; he's going to believe that 50 is part of the enemy. And no kid or adult wants to be on the wrong side of protection.

Some side notes: That little Boy in the interview really should all make you think.
That black activist was a little outdated with the community.
The Busta incident; unfortunate.
And if Cameron was my neighbor, I would pretty much know I was as good as dead, if something went down. LOL.
