"Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon had a quick ceremony in the Bahamas, but expect an extravagant wedding within six weeks, a source close to the singer said.

Plans for Mariah Carey’s second wedding to husband Nick Cannon are well underway, and this time around, Carey plans to make her nuptials an over-the-top event, according to a source close to the singer.

“It’s going to be held in New York City in the next six weeks. Picture a wedding on the scale of Liza Minnelli’s (to David Gest) and you’ll be on the right track,” said the source.

Carey last week told Ellen DeGeneres that the wedding would be next year, and the guests at her Bahamian ceremony were "mainly people there to do my hair and help me with the dress,” which certainly won’t be the case for part deux.

“She wants over 2,000 guests and the budget will be well over $4 million and she’ll have at least 14 bridesmaids,” the source revealed. One name already said to be confirmed on the guest list: Naomi Campbell. We can’t wait." MSNBC"

As DyFuse has been claiming since the story broke, CNN also feels that Mariah Carey's quickie wedding with Nick Cannon is a fake. I mean it's pretty hard to get me to believe that the kid from Nickelodeon and Drumline, who couldn't even keep Christina Milian; could sweep MC whose known for her thick guard, off her feet in 6 weeks. Even more to get the woman to plan and wedding last minute. Still, the hardest piece of evidence is that she is still at the top of the charts and her movie's Tennessee premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival was also the day she popped up with that sparkler on her finger. And we all know it wouldn't hurt his career if MC was helping him make some connections (It may hurt hers...LOL). Plus, Mr. Cannon has four upcoming films to promote. I'm sorry, I just can not take anymore of this. Either Mariah never did recover from Glitter, or she has an addiction that we don't know about! The emancipated singer shared her story with People Magazine and gave them inside pictures of the quickie wedding.

When asked about her and Nick, Mariah says: "We really do feel we are soul mates". She continued gushing: “I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me. If this is real, then he must be packing in them jeans!

Cannon did add: "She is beautiful on the outside and 10 times as beautiful on the inside."

BTW: An inside source is saying that she very much indeed signed a prenuptial agreement with Nick. Wonder where it's at?
