 George Daniels, a music industry veteran and Chicago based retailer confirmed rumors that he and his wife, former R. Kelly publicist Regina Daniels, have cut off ties with the R&B crooner because of an intimate relationship Kelly had with their daughter, Maxine.

 R. Kelly is being sued by a Minneapolis concert promoter for missing a scheduled performance at the Target Center, even though a judge ordered him to cancel the show so he can show up for court on time.
The Nevada-based promoter Royalty Records has filed the lawsuit in Atlanta District Court seeking the return of their $120,000 payment to Kelly, plus unspecified damages.
Royalty claims that Kelly took the payment, but "never intended" to perform at the Dec. 20, 2007 show, which had been pushed back from its original scheduled date of Dec. 6th.
A call to Kelly’s rep returned no answer. The concert was part of his Double Up tour.

 R&B/Pop star Natasha Bedingfield has entered the US chart at number three with her album ‘Pocketful of Sunshine.’ This mark ties soul singer Sade for having the highest-ever US chart debut for a UK signed female.
The British singer shifted 50,000 copies of the album in its first week of release. It reached number nine in the UK last year under the title ‘NB.’
The international version of the album adds several new tracks, including the current US hit single “Love Like This,” featuring Sean Kingston.
Bedingfield, who reached the US top five with her song Unwritten in 2005, is due to play a number of dates in the US this Spring.
She has also planned a number of intimate free acoustic gigs in the UK later this Spring, but full details are yet to be released.

 R&B singer Mariah Carey’s first single will be "Touch My Body," and it is scheduled to impact radio on Feb 12th, according to the newly-updated New Releases list from All Access. The song is headed to Top 40/Mainstream and Top 40/Rhythmic-Crossover radio stations.

 R&B superstar Beyonce is gearing up to play famed blues singer Etta James in new movie Cadillac Records. The Dreamgirls actress will join Adrien Brody, Jeffrey Wright and Cedric the Entertainer in the 1950s-set film, reports AOL.com.
