LOOKS LIKE KELLS WILL BE GETTING HIS HAIR BRAIDED AND SOON

R. Kelly is being sued by a Minneapolis concert promoter for missing a scheduled performance at the Target Center, even though a judge ordered him to cancel the show so he can show up for court on time.

The Nevada-based promoter Royalty Records has filed the lawsuit in Atlanta District Court seeking the return of their $120,000 payment to Kelly, plus unspecified damages.

Royalty claims that Kelly took the payment, but "never intended" to perform at the Dec. 20, 2007 show, which had been pushed back from its original scheduled date of Dec. 6th.

NATASHA COMES IN AT NO.3

NATASHA COMES IN AT NO.3

R&B/Pop star Natasha Bedingfield has entered the US chart at number three with her album ‘Pocketful of Sunshine.’ This mark ties soul singer Sade for having the highest-ever US chart debut for a UK signed female.

The British singer shifted 50,000 copies of the album in its first week of release. It reached number nine in the UK last year under the title ‘NB.’

The international version of the album adds several new tracks, including the current US hit single “Love Like This,” featuring Sean Kingston.

Bedingfield, who reached the US top five with her song Unwritten in 2005, is due to play a number of dates in the US this Spring.

She has also planned a number of intimate free acoustic gigs in the UK later this Spring, but full details are yet to be released.

To compile the list, Forbes examined concert grosses, merchandising revenue, album sales and additional revenue streams from ancillary businesses: clothing lines, fragrance deals and endorsements. Only "active" artists were considered--those who had released an album or film or toured during the specified period. These are gross income figures, with no deductions for taxes, management or agent fees.
