New Music: Mya "Blackout"

Go 'head Mya, and do your thang. "Blackout" is about a battered woman, who sets her man straight after he decides he can do what his father did to his Mama. The subject is not funny at all; it's just that the intro makes you believe it's a love song. Then it turns into Mya talking about how she may end up in jail, if he tries it again. Classically hilarious. Not single worthy, but it's great to listen to. DL link below.

Although Mya's new single "Tic Toc" is not attached to any particular project, the diva is steady working on her 6th studio album. She was recently dropped from Universal/Motown, but she will release this album on her own independent label Planet 9.

As I reported, Mya fans will have to have some Japanese connections to get her new album, "Sugar & Spice"; as the disc will only be released there. "Paradise", which also has a remix on the album, featuring Sean Paul, now has an official video, which you can see below. Enjoy!
