Nicki’s ‘Barbz’ are about to go to war with Mariah’s ‘Lambs’, as the rapper/singer is slated to sign on the dotted line for American Idol. We all heard the rumors that Mariah was none too happy to share the spotlight – even with someone she collaborated musically with. It seems that either Idol doesn’t care or it was all just the rumor mill. Because Nicki found $8 Million reasons to judge wanna be superstars. I’m sure had there been a true beef, Mariah would have walked away from the show already.

Although Mariah inked a much better deal than Nicki ($18 Million vs $8), Nicki’s deal would also allow for a wardrobe and hair/make-up budget. The deal would have probably occurred faster had Pepsi’s sponsorship deal with Minaj, not been a conflict of interest with Idol’s Coke sponsorship. It seems the conflicts have been resolved. I guess we won’t see Minaj drinking from the infamous coke cups, we see judges with each season. We hear there should be ink on the contracts sometime today or later this week.
American Idol has been busy trying to replace rocker Steve Tyler and pop star Jennifer Lopez, as both quit the show after just two seasons.
PS - All these names these artists are giving their fans is annoying. Granted Mariah's been at it for decades - I am not plastic nor do I live to get my hair shaved and clothe people.
