It was confirmed during Cinema Con that Beyonce Knowles will star in the remake of the Judy Garland hit movie, A Star Is Born. The movie is a musical, and that's where Beyonce needs to stay; but filling in the shoes of the great Judy Garland? We almost want to gag. We'll see what director Clint Eastwood can do.
We will say, that movies where she sings most of her dialogue works way better. Mostly because it's like a really long music video.
The plot of the movie focuses on a wanna be star, whose career gets helped by a famous actor, who is suffering his own downward spiral. At least the major dramatics can be saved by a great male actor.
If we haven't said it bluntly,we are not thrilled, but as always we will give her the benefit of our very big doubt. The film will be released via Warner Brothers.
