Recently Kanye said:

"JUSTIN IS THE NEW MIKE , BEYONCE'S THE NEW TINA TURNER, GAGA'S MADONNA, JAY IS SINATRA… WAYNE IS HENDRIX, THOM YORKE IS ROGER WATERS, THESE ARE THE CHAMPIONS AND SHOULD BE DOCUMENTED AS SUCH."

First and foremost, everyone in the music entertainment business, is themselves. No one can fill the shoes of anyone, and if they filled it the same way, then they are unoriginal, and there is no need for them to have their own names. WTF! and that's in my all caps, WTF, was he thinking when he said Justin Timberlake was the new Michael Jackson? Do you know what huge shoes those are to fill. Granted, MJ went from singing group to solo pop stardom; but JT is nowhere in his career at this point, close to where Michael the Gloved one was, at the same point. There was a string where of time where everything was MJ; music, commercials and television. Granted Justin has had a good amount of hit songs; but he is not the worldwide phenomenon that Michael was, and in many respects still is.

Lady Ga Ga, although she prances around in a leotard and kills the hell out of every show, she is not Madonna. She is lady Ga Ga. She may dress raunchy and carry a great pop song, but she is on her first album. She has a totally different style musically and fashion wise than the Material Girl. We haven't even had a chance to see if she will evolve with time, or if she will remain a staple in pop culture, with her trademark bow tie weave and leotard gear. Great comparison, but way too early to even say something like that. I appreciate that they both started their career by hitting underground and often gay clubs, but again, Ga Ga's name is Ga Ga, and Madonna's name is Madonna.

Beyonce, please don't get me started with that hoe. I will say that at least Kanye was smart enough to compare her to a woman who never wrote her own songs. We know the drama that surrounds B every time an album drops and she takes credit for writing songs that were already written, composed and performed before she touched them. It takes a team to make that weaved wonder.

I'm going to skip Jay-Z, because I'm wasting too much time on Kanye's rants.

The only reason Wayne is being compared to Hendrix is because of the drugs and guitar. There is no other Wayne. Wayne is the next and only Wayne. If you want to even compare him to someone, give him the respect of Janis Joplin.
