I already knew that the too innocent for words Simmon's family would have to shed their image one day. Tell me Run and Russell never smoked some dro in the '80's and '90's and you wouldn't even believe it. Well, his son, aspiring rapper Jo Jo, doesn't have to worry about keeping his lyrics clean anymore. The 19 year old, real name Joseph Simmons, jr., was bagged yesterday, May 8th, 2009, for possession on weed amongst other things.
Apparently, the intelligent and eldest son of the Rev was observed buying marijuana, and then trying to roll some up in a joint, while sitting in his car on the Upper West Side. Didn't his father teach him not to smoke in the streets, this is no longer hippie times. Especially with the scumbags that call themselves NYPD.
It gets worse, when he tried to escape and began backing up, while almost hitting the NYPD car that strolled up on him. Additionally he was charged with resisting arrest, attempted reckless endangerment, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
