First and foremost, R. Kelly's lawyers sure know how to drag out the legal process. His Kiddie pissy porn trial took 5+ years and his divorce from Andrea Lee took well over 2. His former wife and mother of his three children, who surely will need therapy when they get older, filed for divorce in 2006.

Although many details of the settlement remain quiet, they will share custody of their children, which I don't think is the best idea. Especially when in 2005, Andrea had to file a emergency protective order against Robert Kelly (yes I put the government out there). Let's not forget that he was humping and urinating on teen girls during his 11 year marriage. And faced child pornography charges, add insult to Andrea's pain.
