Janet Says: "I'm Not Ready to Be the New Sade?!"

The executives at Def Jam, including Janet Jackson's boyfriend, Frog Face - Jermaine Dupri, obviously are biting their thumbs at the superstar, for airing out their marketing ideas.

Recently Janet Jackson revealed that Def Jam wanted the 42 year old singer to slow down and go "Smooth Operator" on us all. And although Janet's getting old, let's no forget it was her dance songs that got her where she's at. Although I would like a good ballad from you JJ. Anyways, below is what she revealed.

There were some people who didn’t like the direction I took with this album (Discipline). They wanted me to sound more like Sade, but I’m not ready for that just yet. I love doing dance songs and I think my fans expect that of me.
