This is one of the worst crimes that I have ever known detail for detail and where the main suspect sits in County jail and will not say a word. According to the FBI, they have found a lifeless body of a young boy in the SUV that went missing from the Hudson family home and belonged to Jennifer Hudson's brother Jason. Police say that they are waiting for an I.D. of the possible 7 year old's remains.
According to neighbors, Julia Hudson, Jennifer's sister, was on the outs with her husband and was considering divorce shortly after he sold a car of her's without permission. Her husband William Balfour, was on parole after 7 years in prison for attempted murder and car jacking. He made several threats to her and her family, that he would come back and kill them. The family unfortunatley took those threats lightley. Since being named a key suspect, Balfour was taken into custody by Illinois Corrections, due to a probation violation.
Police are not trying to figure out when the abandoned vehicle appeared. Some people in the neighborhood where it was found claim that it was there on Saturday, while others remember it was there since Friday. If it was after Friday it may clear William's name or prove he had accomplices. If it was there before he was taken into custody, he may be in hotter water. Balfour has refused to cooperate with police and plead the 5th, the entire time he was under interrogation.
