You may be saying, another album about the 'L' word is not something new for Keyshia Cole. Well, it seems the artist who got style jacked by Mary J. Blige on the cover of VIBE, is taking notes on Mary's career move. Well all know both Mary and Keyshia are known for their heart felt delivery in songs about heartache and such. And as of late Mary dropped an addiction problem, gained a husband and switched up her sound. Keyshia Cole is about to dare to do the same.
With an upcoming album, slated to drop around Christmas, Keyshia has decided to sing about the finer points of love. She reveals : "I’m recording a new album right now. Actually, it’s gonna be released for Christmas. It’s gonna be more of at love album. It’s gonna be more about the good side of love. I’m calling it The Love Album, but that could change. I’m just focusing on the subjects of love that make you happy. I just wanna switch it up a little bit. That’s all."
And this time around she's very ambitious. She explains how she wants to stand up to the Kanyes and Lil' Waynes of today: "I wanna do a million my first week. That’s when they drop…on Christmas time. Everybody is ready to spend their cash on the artists, so I wanTna be one of those artists this time…see if I can do 780,000. We definitely have to see what that’s about."
