"After 16 years in the music industry and six successful albums, I've decided to shift my energy to something else I'm passionate about, acting," said Bow Wow. "I'm going to try to be the next Will Smith."
I don't know about 6 successful albums, his last three were shaky and "Face Off" with Omarion did really poorly. I think he realized he needed to take a break from an industry where it's really hard to succeed now. He needs to stop feeling himself hardbody.
Either way, he has a reoccurring role on 'Entourage' as 'Charlie' as stand up comedian. He also has been in featured in: 2002's Like Mike (as Calvin Cambridge), 2004's Johnson Family Vacation (as D.J. Johnson), 2005's Roll Bounce (as Xavier "X"), 2006's The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (as Twinkie).
He was featured in: 2001's Carmen: A Hip Hopera, 2002's All About the Benjamins, 2006's Smallville episode Fallout and 2008's Ugly Betty. He will also be in these upcoming films: 2008 - 96 Minutes, 2008 - Mr. Prez, 2008 - Patriots, 2009 - The Hardest Game and 2009 - Driving Lessons.
