I try to refrain from talking about anything that doesn't have to do with Celebrity, but the following story which I found on SandraRoseNews, is really really disturbing.
Pretty much, an undercover person posed as a racist caller made a ridiculous request and wanted to see what really goes on behind the scenes. The caller stated that he was a Actor who wanted all of his donated money to go towards the abortions of Black babies, in the names of his son. Instead of an employee trying to stop the racist caller, he got quite the opposite.
After asking that the donation go to abort black babies in his son’s name, the caller stated, “…we just think, you know, the less black kids out there the better.” To which the PP staffer laughed and said, “Understandable, understandable… Excuse my hesitation, um, um, this is the first time I’ve had a donor call and make this kind of request, so I’m excited, and I wanna make sure I don’t leave anything out.“
The audio and transcripts were made public by the University of California's student magazine, The Advocate (not to be confused with the Gay right magazine in NY). Planned Parenthood released an apology but did not give any word if ANY action had been taken against the staffer who thought it was a joke and agreed to put his fund towards Black patients.
First and foremost, I don't know who came up with this crazy idea but I am surprised to see that someone was stupid enough to let their racism show at work. Especially when working for a public non-for-profit organization who is there for the equal help of everyone. She definitely deserved at least a light suspension. I know if that were the other way around, there would have been fire.
