Chris Brown, Kanye West & Mary J. Blige added to Essence Music Festival 2008.

The Essence Music Festival is set to have a bit of a huge line up for their 2008 show. Chris Brown, Chris Rock, Jill Scott, Morris Day, Kanye West, Morris Day, Mary J. Blige and Maze ft. Frankie Beverly and The Time were announced today as the acts in the show.

The Press release also said:

Essence is billed as "the nation's largest annual African-American event celebrating Black music and culture." An estimated 200,000 people attended the festival last year when it returned to New Orleans. The event has become an annual summer celebration in New Orleans, although it was held in Houston in 2006 because the city was still early in its recovery from Hurricane Katrina.
