2007 and Racism Still Booms in W Virgina

Bigots

I know you're thinking that in 2007, there may racist people, but to think that a crime like this, would still happen is far fetched; but it's closer to reality than you expect.

According to CNN, in West Virgina, 6 White Americans held a Black American hostage; all while they raped and beat her in their home. Only to be exposed after an anonymous tip to Police.

As Police investigated, a bruised and battered woman made her way to the door, with her arms held out. Her only words were; "Help Me".

Th victim had black eyes, cuts, part of her hair ripped from her scalp. The poor woman was forced to eat dog and rodent feces with some toilet water to wash it down. She was also, sexually assaulted and shows signs of physical and mental abuse, claims the Logan County Sheriff, W.E. Hunter.

Arrested for this travesty were; Frankie Brewster, 49; her son Bobby, 24; Danny J. Combs, 20, of Harts, West Virginia; and George A. Messer, 27, Karen Burton, 46, and Alisha Burton, 23, all of Chapmanville, West Virginia.
The six culprits were held on Monday, due to the 100,000 bond imposed on each member of this brutal attack.

I personally feel that this is just plain sick. Not only, do you have to have no sense of humanity, but in such a time where White and Black is no longer so clear. This just means that there are still mountains to be moved in terms of civil justice, equality and safety. I don't mean to be so preachy, but this...this is nasty.
