Okay, so finally we hear word from Eddie; post his parade of comments about Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown. Ironically the questionable actor has let his publicist polish up his words to say this:
"Eddie Murphy always has and will continue to honor his responsibilities as a father. Mr. Murphy and Ms. Brown dated very briefly and never made any plans of ANY sort. He acknowledges paternity of the child Angel, and has paid child support to Ms. Brown as well as covering the expenses of her pregnancy. Mr. Murphy views this as a private matter and as such, will not be making any further comments about it."
First of all, when he publicly switched girlfriends and told the world that Mel B. was probably bumping and grinding with someone else; he made it a public matter. The poor woman dealt with the world thinking she belonged on 'Maury'. Secondly, I can't believe that two high profile people would just be getting down without protection, if they weren't necessarily planning another child. Finally, I think that him moving on Ms. Edmonds so fast, is proof that he was probably doing the same thing to his new baby's mama. Shame Eddie, shame.
