Okay, so as you may or may not know, Marsha Ambrosius has broken up the group Floetry, which she was lead singer of; only to replace Natalie Stewart. I've been trying to figure out what is fact from fiction and today, I found a letter Marsha left on her blog about her departure from the Natalie, hooking up with Amanda Diva. Floetry Remixed and all other speculations:
"Floetry Remixed" came about very suddenly...I met Amanda Diva thru a friend and we creatively clicked instantly... I can't control promoters, i can't control gossip sites, what I can give you is my word.... not one of them sites had a quote from me saying nothing... every promoter of the Floetry Remixed tour knew what it was going in... I'm about the music... I'm about being on the road and giving the music to the people... I respect that everyone is so passionate and concerned about music... makes me wanna be better at what I do... but, as always, I respect other people's moves... I'll let you do you... I'm a friend till the end... but when it gets all crazy, at some point I have to see things for what they really are... if its not working, its not working... i can't please everybody... I can't, i tried that... got me in a whole bunch of shyt... guess if I'd a grown up sooner, things woulda been different but I can't live like that, I just gotta LIVE... and let LIVE...
Natalie Stewart: you are my sister... blood... an important part of me being here doing what I dreamed about for the longest and you know that... I support you 100... you know how we get when its all personal and emotional and so very separate... we are different, and that's OK... you know me... I wish you well... all my luv...

Floetyr is Dead
I am a true Floetry fan from the starting days to the now infamous replacement of Natalie. What disturds me the most is that eveyone is trying to makes this about their assumed relationship and not creative differences. Just to put it out there, I am a lesbian and knowing the lesbian community, we are too deep to end a 17 year friendship over personal going ons. What I truely beleive is that the decision to join Aftermath record caused problems between the two. I attended "Floetry" concert on August 9, 2007 @ the HOB and honestly it hurt me just as much as I was excited to see them finally back in Los Angles. Marsha's voice was as strong as ever but Amanda was out of her league. I mean when Marsha sang, Amanda just fell into the beat and not the lyrics. It was the absence of Natatlie that made me realize that Floety is now a mainstream group. Nat have such a delicate artistic ability that is so frequenly left out. I mean, lets be real public. This group were pioneers is the Poetry circuit. So many Poets are out there searching for an audience that willl be able to purchase their poems and what better platform than music. The colaboration was needed and now it is being suplemented. Aren't there enough women stroking men egos and letting them know how important ther are in every son that is out there. i.e Beyonce, Mary J, Tamia, and the list goes on and on. For so long I waited to hear talent. Not just singing but uncut, pure, sensual talent that reached both straight, gay and lesbian audiences. They have now become the women what the male population desire. Amanda rapped about being with her man and standing by her nigga, whereas the Floetry of yesterday did not speak frequently of anyone male or female. They spoke desires, fears, confuison, love, inner beauty, self pride, growth and so much more. We as Lesbians have no true representation of our artistic and songstress abilities and to allow the straight population to be graced with yet another group like Floetry. We can't even have the female basketball players who we know are gay live openly and exist without bullshit therefore this only validify the belief that as long as women are close the general population will always make it about pussy and never about the black community supporting their artist enough to keep them together. I know I've written a lot, but I am just trying to open the mind of others. I loved them for their uniqueness and to see this come of them is truely a loss.

Look not to sound really crazy and all but I’m tee’d OFF ? What is really going on? Is it’s a rumor or better yet something I saw with my own eyes? I know Floetry or better yet Flo-a-flop performed in the Dallas area on Aug 6th at the House of Blues…Exciting right? Not!!!! Who the heck is going to be singing? I heard the announcement on your radio about the concert and being the fan that I am I bought my tickets asap front row Box Seating ($122.09). But hold up a few days later I heard that Floetry broken up and the concert would involve this new member some host chick from MTV (which I hoped was a RUMOR). Now don’t get me wrong I know things happen but DON’T mislead the fans!!! I wouldn’t waste a dime on anyone but the ORIGINAL floetry group members. I think a public announcement and apologize should be ready if this Monday coming the people I paid to see aren’t performing. Look I’m stressed about this cause I don’t like many recent groups I’m more laid back young lady who enjoys old school like Altantic Starr, Marvin Gaye, Earth Wind and Fire, Patti Labelle, and Deniece Williams . But Floetry caught my ears and eyes from the start….Well I’m saying this all to say I spent my last dime on this and my account is screwed!!! Because I purchased the tickets, Then returned them cause of this RUMOR, and bought them again. Only because I’m was hoping with was all wrong just a typical RUMOR. Look I always said before I ever left this earth I would at the drop of the dime go see FLOETRY not FLO-A-FLOP!!! But to put the icing on the cake I went to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhkijZRwcVI&NR=1 and here it is live at LOVE “FLo-a-flop” performing with someone new. Look I’m disappointed, inconvenienced, and down right a mad Ex-Fan of Floetry. I feel misinformed and requesting my money BACK!
P.S. All they had to do was GIVE a woman a warning and I wouldn’t have wasted my time or yours for that matter!!! Someone SAY IT ISN’T SO!!!!

I bought a ticket for the show in Chicago....and I just found out this week that the group split! Im feeling unsure about attending this concert and I kinda want my money back. However, because of my Love for Floetry's music....I want to hear it. If "Flo-a-flop"(LOL) is terrible then I'll cry , I'll cry, I'll crrrrrrrrry.
